The SRM PM9 Cane Creek MTB Power Meter is a great way to add power to your Cane Creek MTB crankset. This spider-based power meter measures power from both legs, is accurate and reliable. In addition, the upgraded PM9 version features improved accuracy, power balance, automatic temperature compensation and Bluetooth SMART.

This power meter is compatible with 3-bolt cranks and fits both boost (52 mm chainline) and standard (49 mm chainline) frames. It’s compatible with 104 BCD round and oval chainrings.

Compatibility:

This SRM fits Cane Creek direct mount 3-bolt cranksets. Regarding chainrings, it requires a 104 BCD 4-bolt MTB chainring (which is different than the direct mount chainrings found on many Cane Creek MTB cranksets). If you don’t already have a 104 BCD 4-bolt chainring, you can order one on this page along with the power meter. See Compatibility tab for more information.

Power Measurement:

This SRM power meter measures power at the spider and is therefore able to measure power from both legs.

We really like this Cane Creek MTB power meter. It measures power from both legs, is accurate and reliable. Having said that, it competes with our power2max Cane Creek MTB power meters which are similar power meters, but a bit more affordable. If you’re an SRM fan, you’ll like this unit. Otherwise, you might give the power2max a try (also a great unit) and will save some money.
