All of these road power meters are accurate to within 1.0 – 2.0% and transmit both power and cadence to your bike computer or GPS watch*. In addition, every power meter we carry has a detailed product listing with an overview, highlights and specifications box where you can dig into the details.
Please note, by default, this page lists some of our most popular power meters at the top. However, you can also sort these listings by price and rating for example. In addition, our navigation menu has direct links to different power meter types, price ranges and more.
The best way to shop is usually by budget and compatibility. That is, look for a power meter that is compatible with your bike and fits your budget. You can then narrow it down based on the features you are interested in.

*The PowerPod power meter transmits power only by default.
Best-Selling Road Power Meters:
We have a lot of great power meters to choose from, but these are some of the favorites:
4iiii PRECISION Shimano R7000/R8000
4iiii makes left side crank arms for Shimano cranksets. These power meters are affordable (starting at $299), easy to install and are a great way to get started with power.
Stages Shimano R7000/R8000
Stages also makes power meters for these Shimano cranksets. Their power meters are similar to the 4iiii ones and they are some of our most sought-after units.
You’ve probably heard of the Favero Assioma road power meter pedals. Favero makes a wonderful pedal – accurate, durable and trouble-free. The fact that it’s also more affordable than the other power meter pedals is an added bonus!
power2max makes spider-based power meters. These power meters measure both from both legs and are some of the most reliable and consistent power meters we sell. They offer spiders for a wide range of cranks and prices starting at just $490.
Quarq also makes a spider-based unit. With the Quarq however, you must have a compatible Quarq or SRAM crankset. These road power meters benefit from over 10 years of Quarq’s experience in power meter technology and we highly recommend these units.
