We stock a variety of speed and cadence sensors from brands such as Garmin, PowerTap, SRM and Velocomp. If you have a power meter on your bike, a cadence sensor isn’t required, however they can be handy for 2nd and 3rd bikes. Speed sensors can help your bike computer track speed and distance accurately at all times making you less reliant on a GPS signal. In addition, we note that a speed sensor is required for use with the PowerPod power meter.
Garmin
Garmin allows you to purchase standalone speed sensors, standalone cadence sensors or a bundle that has both. Their new Sensor 2 features Bluetooth in addition to ANT+. This makes them compatible with training apps like Zwift, TrainerRoad and more.
SRM
SRM offers a fork mounted speed sensor. The SRM sensor works well with the SRM PC or any other head unit for that matter.
Velocomp
Velocomp makes a fork mounted speed pod for use with the PowerPod power meter. It is very similar to the SRM, however at $29.99, it’s the more affordable option.
