Meet Our Team

Favorite memory riding bikes?
My first bike race. MTB Cat 3 in Fontana, CA. I had no idea what I was getting into or what to expect. The mix of excitement, pain and maximum effort was incredibly rewarding. Oh and since you asked, yea that was a 3rd place that day. I’ll take it!

Music or no music when riding?
No music. I like to use my time on the bike to unplug and be with my thoughts and surroundings.

Most underrated ride snack?
I’m not too picky about ride food but I’d say Chocolate Chip CLIF Bars…yum!

Go-to hobby outside of cycling?
Taking the dogs for a hike.

Favorite memory riding bikes?
As a former shop owner, I’ve sold a lot of bikes. But getting a particular special needs kid on and riding their first bike was easily my high water mark. The whole shop, customers, staff, myself all seemed to coincidentally get something in our eye.

Music or no music when riding?
Never. It gets in the way of the immediacy of the sights, sounds, smells.

Most underrated ride snack?
Very smushed, sometimes damp, always delicious pocket sandwich.

Go-to hobby outside of cycling?
Reading.

Favorite memory riding bikes?
My first long ride on a road bike. It was unplanned, but with a group that kept the pedaling fun. I don’t think I’ve been so exhausted with a smile across my face before. It was a great ride with an even better group of people.

Music or no music when riding?
Music or a podcast is a must.

Most underrated snack?
A warm coke that will definitely ruin your bike bottle.

Go-to hobby outside of cycling?
Puzzles. Hard to beat a good puzzle.

Favorite memory riding bikes?
Riding the carriage trails in Acadia National Park with my wife. Amazing gravel roads, beautiful bridges, fall foliage…what more could you ask for? Should be included on everyone’s cycling bucket list.

Music or no music when riding?
Music – until you get far enough away into nature to enjoy the birds.

Most underrated snack?
Trail Mix! It’s got everything you need…plus chocolate.

Go-to hobby outside of cycling?
Reading and cooking.

Favorite memory riding bikes?
Bikepacking the Old Ghost Road in New Zealand. Two whole days of beautifully crafted singletrack that climbs into the alpine before descending to sea level. The weather was terrible, but the class-5 tech sections were incredibly fun to ride. I’m particularly proud of riding every inch, wet roots, exposure and all!

Music or no music when riding?
No music when riding, I like to be fully immersed in the trail I’m on!

Most underrated snack?
Chocolate-covered espresso beans! Nothing like a little kick of caffeine to get you really cranking!

Go-to hobby outside of cycling?
In the winter when the trails become muddy and frozen, I switch to Backcountry Ski Touring. There are many parallels with mountain biking, and the stoke stays high all winter. An occasional winter trip to the desert for some bike riding fixes the withdrawal symptoms. I also enjoy rock climbing, resort skiing, backpacking, trail running and surfing.

Favorite memory riding bikes?
Riding on my first mountain bike down a fire road in Aliso and Wood Canyons wilderness park.

Music or no music when riding?
No music, I like to keep an ear out for hikers and other riders while mountain biking.

Most underrated snack?
Fresh fruit is always good.

Go-to hobby outside of cycling?
I would have to say right now it’s digital 3D sculpting/modeling, but I also enjoy creating with traditional mediums as well.

Favorite memory riding bikes?
When my first time riding a bike. It was an amazing experience, the memory of a sunny summer day remains etched in my mind, filled with the joy of newfound freedom and the thrill of mastering a new skill.

Music or no music when riding?
No music. Though I really love music, when I’m riding I want to enjoy, hear, and be with nature. The sound of flowing water in the river and birds chirping is music to my ears.

Most underrated snack?
I think dried mangoes. Ugh, it’s so good I can eat it all day!

Go-to hobby outside of cycling?
Going to places and taking good pictures.

Favorite memory riding bikes?
Early morning rides back in our province. Since I live by the seaside, the whole road has a beautiful ocean view – it’s peaceful and refreshing at the same time.

Music or no music when riding?
Sometimes I listen to hertz frequencies. They help me stay calm and focused while riding.

Most underrated snack?
Fried banana. It tastes like home to me!

Go-to hobby outside of cycling?
Reading! It’s my way to reset and escape into another world!
