Dual-Sided Power
With a power sensor in each spindle, the Assioma DUO-Shi can measure true left and right power. While some power meters provide an estimated left/right power figure, only a few can provide true left/right data.

The all new Favero Assioma DUO-Shi Power Meter Spindles allow Shimano users to enjoy one of the best-selling power meters on the market! The DUO-Shi Power Meter Spindles consist of two special pedal spindles that can be quickly and easily installed into your current Shimano SPD-SL pedal bodies. Therefore, you can experience everything the Assioma DUO has to offer while keeping the Shimano pedals you have grown to love. In addition, the DUO-Shi is compatible with Shimano PD-R8000, PD-R7000, PD-6800, PD-R550 and PD-R540 pedal bodies.
The Favero Assioma DUO-Shi’s feature all of the power meter technology found in the original DUO. This includes IAV power with +/- 1.0% accuracy, IAV cycling dynamics, Favero’s user friendly app and more. In addition, these DUO-Shi spindles are a dual-sided power meter with a power sensor located in each spindle. This means the power meter can show both left and right leg power, in addition to total power and cadence.
The Favero Assioma DUO-Shi Power Meter has a Q Factor of 64-65 mm. This compares to 53-54 mm for most other pedals. This means each pedal will be approximately 10-12 mm further away from the bike than normal. Since Q Factor and bike set-up is subjective, each rider needs to determine if this is an ideal set-up for them.
Dual-Sided Power
With a power sensor in each spindle, the Assioma DUO-Shi can measure true left and right power. While some power meters provide an estimated left/right power figure, only a few can provide true left/right data.
Easy to Install & Transfer
Once you have installed the spindles into your Shimano pedal bodies, the DUO-Shi installs on your bike just like a normal pedal. You can also move them from bike to bike in seconds!
ANT+ & Bluetooth SMART
With both ANT+ and Bluetooth SMART, the pedals will work with your favorite cycling computer, GPS watch, smart phone or tablet. The choice is yours!
Accurate with IAV Power
The DUO-Shi uses Favero’s IAV Power Technology. IAV results in accuracy of +/- 1.0%. It also allows the Assioma pedals to be used with oval chainrings without any impact to the accuracy of your data!
IAV Cycling Dynamics
Favero’s built-in gyroscope also allows you to measure cycling dynamics data such as IAV Power Phase and IAV Rider Position. With these advanced metrics, you can become a faster, stronger rider!
Light
Using cutting-edge materials, the weight of each pedal is only 157 grams (PD-R8000). Therefore, this makes it one of the lightest power meter pedals available.
Rechargeable
The Favero Assioma DUO-Shi uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which offers a 50-hour life. When the battery gets low, simply plug them in using the included charger, and you’re good to go again.
User Friendly App
The Assioma app allows you to update firmware, perform zero-offsets, check battery levels and more. Also, the “Compatibility with other apps” function ensures it works with other apps and training software.
Proved and Guaranteed
Each Assioma undergoes strict control tests (load, shock, fatigue, wear, water resistance, etc.) in order to ensure performance. It also comes with a full two-year warranty.
The Assioma uses Favero’s IAV (Instantaneous Angular Velocity) Power. Using special software and a built-in three-axis gyroscope, IAV takes into account the precise pedaling speed within each pedal stroke. This results in the Favero Assioma DUO-Shi having accuracy of +/- 1.0%. In addition, IAV allows you to use the Assioma pedals with oval chainrings without any impact to the accuracy of your data!
Favero’s gyroscope also allows you to measure cycling dynamics data. IAV Power Phase displays the portion of your pedaling stroke in which torque is produced. In addition, your Power Phase Peak, in which maximum torque is produced, is also indicated. IAV Rider Position displays the portion of time you are in a seated vs. standing position. This allows you to analyze how a specific position can influence your performance. This data works with most Garmin bike computers including the Edge 1030, 830, 820, 530 and 520 Plus.
The installation of the DUO-Shi spindles into your Shimano pedal bodies is quick and easy. Please view the video on the Videos tab.
The Favero Assioma DUO-Shi Power Meter Spindles are compatible with the Shimano PD-R8000, PD-R7000, PD-6800, PD-R550 and PD-R540 pedal bodies.
Please note, these spindles do not work with DURA-ACE pedals as they use a different axle design and are therefore not compatible.

Question: Does the Favero Assioma DUO-Shi power meter work with Shimano DURA-ACE pedals?
Jim Powers (verified owner) –
I’ve only used them for one week but everything seems to be working well. The DUO-SHI seems to be a well-made product and I am very happy with the purchase.

Looks like you are enjoying your new power meter spindles, Jim! If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know!

5-star rating for the fact that Favero knows how to make an accurate and reliable power meter. I still haven’t made up my mind on the Q-factor issue yet. You can definitely feel the difference if you’ve done thousands of miles on normal pedals, but I measured and it is indeed the same Q as my MTB…so I want to keep testing to see if it really makes a difference to my body and/or power production.

We really appreciate this, Dan! These spindles are really great! We hope you will continue to enjoy them! Ride safe!

Leslie Bristol (verified owner) –
These worked great EXCEPT, the Q Factor was too wide for my fit. Definitely my fault for not reading the note about it. BUT, I loved them so much I bought the Assioma Duos from powermeter city. Josh from sales made everything easier. Definitely buying all my power meters from PMC. Thank you!
Power Meter City –
Glad it worked fine! It was a pleasure doing business with you, Leslie and if there is anything else we can do to help, please let us know!
North Krimsly (verified owner) –
These Duo-Shi power meter pedals from Favero are comfortable, reliable, and trouble-free. I also had the previous Assioma Duo (non Shimano) version of these pedals, also from Power Meter City. Those were good, but this new Duo-Shi version is better. Why better? Because 1) the Shimano cleats are definitely easier to walk in, much less slippery, and 2) most importantly, the Duo-Shi pedals have a wide q-factor of 65mm (with Ultegra pedals). For some people that will be too wide. But, This is a gigantic, game-changing benefit for riders like me who need a wide q-factor for our knees to be free from pain and injury. I used to have to use pedal extenders with the old Faveros, but with the Duo-Shis I don’t have to use extenders and my knees and hips are super happy. I’m setting PRs with these pedals after only a few rides. Because comfortable is fast! I’m very happy I bought these. One thing to know — it’s easy to install the power meter axles into Shimano R8000 pedals but you will need a crowfoots wrench adapter and a torque wrench if you want to tighten the axles to the recommended torque. make sure to set the crowfoot adapter 90 degrees from the wrench so you don’t make the lever arm longer.
