The Praxis Works Cadet HD MTB Crankset is a value friendly Enduro crank that still packs a punch. With updated arm shaping and spacing, this second-generation Cadet transfers power nicely while delivering the premium fitment you expect from a Praxis crank. In addition, the Cadet HD’s crank arms are beefed up a bit at 640 grams, perfect for more aggressive lines.

The Cadet crankset is compatible with 3-bolt direct mount chainrings and fits Super Boost (55 mm chainline), Boost (52 mm chainline) and Standard (49 mm chainline) frames.

Compatibility:

The Praxis Cadet HD MTB Crankset is compatible 3-bolt direct mount chainrings, as well as with the power2max Praxis MTB Power Meter. It uses a M30 spindle (30 mm/28 mm) spindle and fits Praxis M30 bottom brackets.

If you are looking for an entry level Enduro crankset, but still want to know you’re riding a tried-and-true Praxis, this might be your crank. It’s not quite as light and snappy as the Girder HD Carbon Enduro crank, but this second generation Cadet HD is still super solid, albeit a bit heavier than other options.

Other Versions to Consider

Cadet Crankset: If you are looking to shave a bit of weight, we might recommend the Praxis Cadet (not the HD version). It’s more of an XC/Trail crank, features carbon arms and weighs about 80 grams less.

Girder HD Crankset: We also carry the slightly nicer Praxis Girder HD Crankset. It’s an Enduro crank like the Cadet HD here, however it features carbon crank arms which are lighter and stiffer than the alloy arms of the Cadet HD.
