This is a great way to add power to a ROTOR or VEGAST crankset. They measure power from both legs, are accurate and very reliable. We believe the price also represents a good value for what you get. We highly recommend power2max power meters and use them on many of our own bikes.

Other Versions to Consider

Upgraded power2max NG Version: While the NGeco you are viewing on this page is our go-to version for most cyclists, please note we also have the upgraded power2max NG ROTOR Road Power Meter. The NG features slightly better accuracy, a rechargeable battery, a longer warranty and some additional training metrics.

Compatibility

Cranksets: The power2max NGeco ROTOR Road Power Meter is compatible with all 24 mm and 30 mm ROTOR ALDHU and VEGAST cranksets.

Chainrings: The power fits 110 BCD 5-bolt, 130 BCD 5-bolt or 110 BCD 4-bolt (Shimano) chainrings based on the version ordered. In many cases, you can use your existing chainrings assuming they use the same configuration as the power meter you order.

The 110 BCD 4-Bolt version is compatible with all Shimano 4-bolt chainrings, including Shimano 12-speed chainrings.

What is BCD?: BCD (bolt circle diameter) is simply the diameter of a circle that passes through the centers of the bolt holes in your chainring. The BCD is usually stamped right on the chainring as either 110 or 130. It is important to know what BCD your crankset is because assuming you want to use your existing chainrings on your new power meter, you need to order the correct BCD.

  1. Jeff R. Melcher (verified owner)

Hands down my favorite power meter to install on customer bikes and use on my own bikes. As a bike fitter and triathlon coach, my athletes prefer the simplicity this power meter provides including pedal options, temperature compensation = no calibration, great looks, durability and data transmission. And Power Meter City customer service is also awesome!

Really good quality product. Easy to install and connect to my Garmin Edge 530. Update software using the app to connect. Was happy with the power meter. Well recommended to all looking for a power meter.

  3. Steve Markgraf (verified owner)

Really like the looks of the ALDHU arms and NGECO especially when paired with the AbsoluteBlack oval rings I had. Install was straightforward. on my Trek Madone. I did have to adjust my FD to get the shifting right. No big deal though. Registration and setup with Android App super simple. Paired easily with my Garmin Edge 520. Was happy that power readings correlated with my other power meter and trainier.

    • Power Meter City

Hi Steve. Sounds like you got the new power2max ALDHU pretty much figured out! Keep up the good work and please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.

  4. Akihiko Hayasaka (verified owner)

This product is easy to install. In addition, it is a good point that it is structurally very strong. You do not have to calibrate when you start using it, and you can start using it immediately. The ROTOR crankset is also stiff and positive. However, there are two disadvantages. (1) Upgraded to show Pedaling Smoothness value (PS), but my Lezyne Super GPS did not show the PS value. This bike computer has the ability to display PS values. I do not know for now whether it is the cause of power meter or the bike computer. (2) It is very difficult to reattach it to the BB and remove it again because the axle is too accurate. It will be firmly inset. This is ROTOR rather than a power meter problem.

    • Power Meter City

Hi Akihiko Hayasaka. Thanks for taking a minute to leave us a review on your ROTOR AHLDHU. This is one of our best-selling p2m cranksets and I hope you continue to enjoy it.

  5. JB (verified owner)

I already owned a Rotor Aldhu crankset, so all I had to do was replace the spider with this unit. So the price was right for me, and I got to keep using my rotor Q-rings. Super easy to install and was set up and ready to go in less than 20 minutes. No need to make any derailleur adjustments or anything. The accompanying iPhone app is simple and works well for set up and registration. I am now streaming power data flawlessly to my Garmin. Shipping was fast too!

A couple of notes on installation. There are no Optimum Chainring Position (OCP) markings for installing a Q-ring on the unit, so if you don’t currently have a Q-ring spider to compare to, this could be problematic. Power2Max really should include these markings on the unit, as this is how you will calibrate your best fit to the Q-ring. Luckily I was replacing an existing spider, so I just copied the OCP markings over with a Sharpie. Also, my unit came with white stickers, which did not match my bike. No biggie, but new matching blue stickers did cost $4 (or you could go no stickers). For some reason I assumed it would come with set of all the colors. It would be cool if PMC had a sticker color option on the product, to avoid this 😉

    • Power Meter City

Hi JB. Thanks for the great review. Yes, P2M makes terrific units and this ALDHU spider is one of their newest – it’s super slick. You are correct – they don’t have OCP markings, something we have of course noticed as well we when build up cranksets in house. Not a huge deal…but it would be nice if they added them. Regarding your Decal, we are refunding you $5 right now as every P2M comes with the Decal of your choice!
