These are great and work to keep water, mud, whatever out of the battery. That said, if you don’t pay attention putting them on, you WILL lose them. Make sure they are seated and ‘clipped’ on both ends before riding off and you will be fine. Always nice to have a spare though…

Thanks for the detailed insight! We’re happy to hear the product is doing its job keeping everything protected. Great tip on making sure they are securely clipped on. We agree, having a spare is always a smart move!

These things suck. I’ve lost 3 so far. The manufacturer should provide lifetime replacements as this is a terrible design, and us users are stuck footing the bill. We’ll all be screwed when they stop making them.
Power Meter City –
We’re really sorry to hear about your experience, Mickey. That does sound frustrating. Losing multiple units due to design issues is definitely not acceptable, and we understand your concerns about long-term support. While we don’t control the manufacturer’s policies, we absolutely share your feedback with them and advocate for better solutions. If there’s anything we can do to help in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Bought 2 just in case. I used a dab of silicone as well just to make sure since I’ve lose these before. I now have lost 3 out of 4 in my possession. I was going to use the fourth, but duct tape is cheaper and more effective at this point. Serious design flaw.
Power Meter City –
Hi Chris. Sounds like a frustrating experience! Using duct tape definitely shows how resourceful you are, but it’s unfortunate the design isn’t holding up. Thanks for sharing your tip with the silicone dab—it might save someone else the hassle! If there is anything else we can help you with, please let us know!

While I was researching the power2max NGeco power meter before I bought it, I stumbled upon several reviews that noted that the battery cover is prone to falling off. So, I thought I’d buy a replacement cover just in case. It came quickly. Fingers crossed I won’t need it!
