Easton | Race Face
Easton and Race Face offer the CINCH Power Meter Spindle. The CINCH replaces the OEM spindle (axle) in the crankset and measures left-side power. The Easton CINCH works with the Easton’s EC90 SL or EA90 road cranksets. The Race Face CINCH works with Race Face’s Next SL MTB cranksets. This replaceable spindle system allows users of these cranksets to easily and affordably add power to their bikes.

Garmin, one of the best-known power meter brands, is on the third version of its power meter pedal, the Garmin Vector 3. They offer the Vector 3 which measures left and right leg power, as well as the Vector 3S which measures left leg power only. The Vector 3 is known for it’s easy to use design and slim form. Reviews have been mixed on the power meter pedal as some users have experienced issues with the battery caps, however that’s usually an issue that can be fixed with upgraded caps.

PowerTap
PowerTap has been making power meters for close to 15 years. They currently offer the popular and well-known PowerTap P2, a pedal-based power meter for road bikes. Since the P2 is a pedal-based power meter, it is easy to install and measures power from both legs. In addition, the P2 is now 30 grams lighter than the previous version.

Quarq is also a very popular power meter brand and has been building power meters for over a decade. They offer offers power meters for the road, MTB, CX and gravel. Quarq power meters are spider-based and therefore measure power from both legs. Spider-based power meters are some of our favorites. In addition to measuring power from both legs, they are traditionally very accurate, reliable and affordable. You can purchase their power meters in a number of configurations including built into a SRAM RED/Force crankset, built into a Quarq DZero crankset, or as a stand-alone spider. ROTOR
ROTOR offers a variety of power meters for the road, MTB and track. Their 2INpower (pronounced “twin power”) and INpower units are complete cranksets with the power sensor and electronics located in the axle of the crank. The 2INpower measures power from both legs, whereas the INpower measures left leg power only. They also offer the INspider Power Meter. The INspider is a spider-based power meter and therefore measures power at the crank spider. It is sold as a stand-alone spider or as a complete crankset.

SRM has been producing power meters since the late 80’s and many consider them the gold standard of power measurement. Velocomp, manufacturer of the AeroPod and PowerPod, takes a different approach than other power meter brands. These power meters measure power by calculating the forces that oppose the rider – wind, gradient, acceleration and friction. This is called opposing force technology. While this type of power meter isn’t for everyone, it does offer a number of unique benefits.

Verve Cycling
Verve Cycling manufactures the InfoCrank, a complete crankset. The InfoCrank is considered one of the most accurate and consistent power meters. Verve places its strain gauges within the crank arm – the only one to do this. The InfoCrank has been certified accurate to +/- 0.5%, all the way up to 3,000 watts. In addition, the power mete never needs to be calibrated.
