Agree with both of the other reviews: I love the pedals, but even if the charger was free, it’s so bad that it’s almost a reason not to buy the power meter. It’s fiddly to use; it breaks easily; everyone already has usb cables, so making you buy another one with the replacement that you need to buy for the latest one to break is super-annoying…. And then they’re completely over priced.

Buying a replacement charge adapter because the original sticks to the pedal better than the cable so when you remove it from the pedal you only get the cable and the adapter falls off on the road somewhere. Horrible design and then OUTRAGEOUS price for replacement. Maybe make the cable part of the adapter so that it will stay together, no, wait, that would require some thought on the part of the engineers.

Much better design then the first one that came with the power meter’s at purchase. Stronger and thicker plastic. I appreciate the the long micro-USB cable to the small connector, but wouldn’t it have been smarter to provide a long USB-A wire and let me plug it into whatever charger I want. This design just creates a failure point. Never the less, I also think charging the price listed is ridiculous. It was a poor design originally, it failed, and now I’m spending quite a bit on replacements b/c of that poor design. Furthering that, it’s a band-aid solution, so best you get is 3-stars SRM. $35 dollars for a long cable worth $3 on Amazon, and your proprietary connector which is prone to braking and by the way it’s just a tiny circuit board inside, b/c when it breaks you see the simplicity of the unit. Lots of people use magnetic charging, its not new in the industry. You can copy a better design. At least PowerMeterCity has excellent customer service and helps me out immediately and thoughtfully.
