Advice From Our Staff:
In addition to being one of the only power meters for a Specialized S-Works crankset, it’s a great option. It measures power from both legs, is accurate and very reliable. We believe the price also represents a good value for what you get. We highly recommend power2max power meters and use them on many of our own bikes.
Options For This Power Meter
BCD: This power meter is available in the following BCDs in order to fit your choice of chainring sizes:
- 110 5-Bolt | 130 5-Bolt

Other Versions to Consider
Upgraded NG Version: While the NGeco you are viewing on this page is our go-to version for most cyclists, please note we also have the upgraded power2max NG Specialized Road Power Meter. The NG features slightly better accuracy, a rechargeable battery, a longer warranty and some additional training metrics.
Compatibility
Crankset: The power2max NGeco Specialized Road Power Meter is compatible with Specialized S-Works and FACT carbon cranks from 2013-current. It works with all Specialized frames without the need for additional spacers or adapters.
Chainrings: This power meter is compatible with 110 or 130 BCD 5-bolt chainrings based on the version ordered. In many cases, you can use your existing chainrings assuming they use the same configuration as the power meter you order.
What is BCD?: BCD (bolt circle diameter) is simply the diameter of a circle that passes through the centers of the bolt holes in your chainring. The BCD is usually stamped right on the chainring as either 110 or 130. It is important to know what BCD your crankset is because assuming you want to use your existing chainrings on your new power meter, you need to order the correct BCD.

This is a great power meter. Very consistent readings and quick display of data to the head unit. It takes about 3 seconds to display the generated power, as noted by the time is takes to display zero once peddling stops, which seems very reasonable. Installation is fairly easy, The wave spider is replaced with this unit installed in its place. Be advised that the Park Tool BBT-18 will not removed the lock ring. The tool required is a slightly larger diameter and a proprietary tool from Specialized. After riding with the NGeco I can’t imagine training without a power meter.

The pm just works out of the box. Had to get new bolts to replace the exisiting chainring bolt on the carbon spider but fortunately my lbs had them in stock. Took less than a minute to pair to my wahoo bolt and it seems relatively accurate when benched against my wahoo kicked snap. It’s certainly more affordable than the quarq version and works the same.
