Key Product Details

Compatibility:

This power meter fits Praxis M30 (30 mm/28 mm) bottom brackets. It comes with power2max gravel chainrings and features a GRX 47 mm chainline. The power meter gives you a narrow road Q factor vs. the slightly wider Q factor inherent in GRX cranks. See Compatibility tab for more information.

Power Measurement:

The power2max power meter measures power at the spider and is therefore able to measure power from both legs.

Key Features:

Dual-leg power measurement, carbon fiber crank arms, accurate to +/- 2.0%, 300-400 hours of battery life, CR2450 user-replaceable battery, left/right power balance with system upgrade, ANT+ and Bluetooth compatibility, auto-zero (automatic calibration). See Specs tab for more information.

Advice From Our Staff:

This is one of our favorite gravel power meters. From a power meter standpoint, the power2max measures power from both legs, is reliable and accurate. In addition, you get a Praxis Zayante Carbon crankset which is stiff, lightweight and performs great. It’s a wonderful combination. Just make sure you have a Praxis M30 bottom bracket on your bike as the Zayante uses a 30 mm/28 mm tapered spindle.

Other Versions to Consider

power2max NGeco Praxis DOON: For riders who are looking for a carbon crankset that is even lighter, we recommend the power2max NGeco Praxis DOON Carbon Gravel Power Meter Crankset. This crankset features the same P2M NGeco power meter, but uses Praxis DOON carbon crank arms which are lighter than the Zayante. This power meter crankset also uses a 30 mm spindle.

Compatibility

Drivetrain:

  • 1x chainrings: Compatible with 11- and 12-speed drivetrains (not compatible with SRAM 12-speed chains).
  • 2x chainrings: Compatible with 9-, 10- and 11-speed drivetrains as well as with 12-speed Shimano, SRAM and KMC chains.

Common Questions and Answers

Question: Can I use this power2max Gravel power meter on a Shimano road drivetrain?

  • Great question! This power2max Gravel power meter features a GRX 47 mm chainline. This is wider than the 44 mm chainlines used on Shimano road drivetrains such as 105, Ultegra and DURA-ACE. However, the chainline on this gravel crankset can be converted to the narrower 44 mm road chainline by use of a power2max MTB Adapter Plate. The adapter plate is placed between the power meter and the gravel chainring, which moves the chainring closer to the bike and gives you a Shimano road chainline.

Question: How do I determine what length my current cranks are so I can make sure I get the same size?

  • Your crank arm length should be printed or stamped on the inside of the left crank arm, usually near the pedal end.
