power2max NG Easton Road Power Meter Crankset

The NG is the premier model in the power2max line-up. With features such as dual leg power measurement, ANT+/Bluetooth SMART compatibility and left/right power balance, the power2max NG Easton Road Power Meter Crankset comes fully-loaded. In addition, the NG is accurate to +/- 1.0% and is easy to use with features such as auto-zero and accelerometer-based cadence measurement. The power2max NG model also features a rechargeable battery with 150 hours of run time as well as a full 5-year warranty!

NG vs. NGeco

You are viewing the power2max NG. This is power2max’s premium version. It features several upgrades over the NGeco:

  • Better accuracy (+/- 1.0% vs. +/- 2.0%)
  • Rechargeable battery (vs. coin cell battery)
  • Longer 5-year warranty (vs. 2 year warranty)
  • Additional training metrics including left/right power balance

Key Product Details

Compatibility:

This power meter fits 30 MM bottom brackets and 110 BCD 5-bolt, 130 BCD 5-bolt or 110 BCD 4-bolt chainrings based on the version ordered. See Compatibility tab for more information.

Power Measurement:

The power2max power meter measures power at the spider and is therefore able to measure power from both legs. This NG version is also able to measure your left vs. right leg power balance.

Key Features:

Dual-leg power measurement, carbon crank arms (EC90 SL), accurate to +/- 1.0%, 150 hours of battery life, rechargeable battery, left/right power balance, ANT+ and Bluetooth compatibility, auto-zero (automatic calibration), 5-year warranty. See Specs tab for more information.

Advice From Our Staff:

This is a great power2max crankset. It measures power from both legs, is accurate and very reliable. If you go with the EC90 SL carbon arms, it’s super light and stiff. The EA90 aluminum arms aren’t quite as nice, but they are more affordable and are a solid option as well. We highly recommend power2max power meters and use them on many of our own bikes.

Options For This Power Meter

Professional Assembly (Optional) power2max Build Checklist

We are happy to professionally assemble your power meter crankset if you select this option when ordering. This ensures your crankset is correctly built and saves you time. Professional assembly includes:

  • Mount the power meter to the cranks and tighten to factory specifications
  • Apply multi-purpose bicycle grease where necessary
  • Install chainrings on the power meter (if chainrings are ordered)
  • Apply power2max decal

Please note – while we tighten everything to factory specs, it is still your responsibility to routinely check your power meter crankset to make sure all bolts and nuts remain securely fastened.

Other Versions to Consider

NGeco Version: While the NG version you are viewing here features slightly better accuracy, a rechargeable battery, a longer warranty and some additional training metrics, we also sell the more affordable power2max NGeco Easton Road Power Meter Crankset version.

Power Meter Only: If you already have a set of Easton EA90 or EC90 SL cranks, you can just buy the power2max NG Easton Road Power Meter and bolt it to your existing cranks.

Compatibility

Chainrings: The power fits 110 BCD 5-bolt, 130 BCD 5-bolt or 110 BCD 4-bolt chainrings based on the version ordered. In many cases, you can use your existing chainrings assuming they use the same configuration as the power meter you order.

Please note, the 110 BCD 4-Bolt version is compatible with all Shimano 4-bolt chainrings, including Ultegra 8100 and DURA-ACE 9200 chainrings.

Please also note, the smallest chainring that will fit this power meter is 34T (for example, 50/34). A 48/32 chainring combination for example would not work.

What is BCD?: BCD (bolt circle diameter) is simply the diameter of a circle that passes through the centers of the bolt holes in your chainring. The BCD is usually stamped right on the chainring as either 110 or 130. It is important to know what BCD your crankset is because assuming you want to use your existing chainrings on your new power meter, you need to order the correct BCD.

Bottom Bracket: This power meter fits 30 MM bottom brackets. If you currently have a 30 MM crankset on your bike, you should be able to re-use your existing bottom bracket. However, if you are changing spindle sizes, you will need to replace your bottom bracket.
