The residual effects that transfer through the Crank of the 105 has finally gotten itself ‘Amperage Value’. With the ‘4iiii Precision Power Meter’ meeting the threshold of measuring the resistance force of gravity contingent upon the exerted force of its Rider through Time and Space to avail the quotient of Power; keeping pace with ‘Watts’ is now reality. Yes!

Great value. Performs very well, easy to calibrate when start riding, doesn’t require mid ride calibration (unless temp variation is above 50C), add almost no weight to your bike and so far has not presented any signal loss with my garmin edge.

Can’t really comment on accuracy as I would need to have others PMs running in parallel to compare, but general consensus on websites and foruns is that the 4iiii pm is very accurate and on par with stages.

Hi Carlos, Well you did a pretty good job of summarizing all the reasons we like it too! We have performed some accuracy tests against SRM and Verve and the 4iiii is right there indeed. Enjoy your new power meter!

Possibly the best value in a single sided power meter. Paired up with my Garmin 520 on the first attempt and haven’t had any issues with it.
I would also like to add that customer service through Josh has been first rate in dealing with a backorder situation.

I’ve owned this meter for 3 months now. During those 3 months it has seen 4 training sessions each week. I’ve mostly used it paired to TrainerRoad which uses BlueTooth 4.0 (aka Smart) as opposed to ANT+. It’s been one of those products you purchase and don’t really think much about after a few rides with it because it “just works”. I’ve never had an issue with it pairing to my computer and that’s with a bunch of other 2.4GgHz signals floating around in my house too (Wi-Fi, BT sound bar, wireless keyboard, etc…). The nice thing with TrainerRoad is that now I’m able to use the PowerMatch feature to insure my Kickr Snap power reading and target is accurate and is in line with the power I can generate outside in the real world.

I also did a small test comparing this to my Stages power meter on my mountain bike using a custom workout I created for my smart trainer. It steps through different power targets ranging from 100W to 800W. I made sure to use the same tire, pressure, and that everything was calibrated correctly. The 4iiii tracked practically identical to the Stages. The only difference was when compared to my Kickr Snap and only at very low wattages. Both the Stages and 4iiii read equally high compared to the trainer but it’s more likely the trainer was reading low.

Now that it’s getting nicer out, I’ve been transitioning intervals to outdoors. I’ve used it paired to my Garmin Edge 520 (ANT+) and the experience has been flawless. Never a dropped signal, consistent calibrations, and once again it “just works”. It’s seen mostly dry weather but there was a road trip where it spent 4+ hours on top of my car at highway speeds in the rain. When I got to my destination I removed the battery cover to check for moisture and it was dry as a bone.

I’ve updated the firmware once using the 4iiii app and my Android phone (Google Pixel). Very straightforward and painless.

Overall I’m beyond pleased with my purchase. It’s amazing what you get for the price without any compromises. If I had to get another power meter, 4iiii is the clear choice.

My 2nd power meter from Power Meter City. A simple and value power meter with no wear and tear component. Power reading is very consistent.

Probably the best bang for you buck when it comes to power meters. I’ve now purchased two for two different bikes and highly recommend this left-side crank arm power meter.
I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly the meter arrived, safe and sound.

Switched from a Powerpod to this. As usual customer service was fantastic. That’s the same thing I would say about the 4iiii precision. Paired up with the 520 without any problem. Calibrated in seconds and ready to ride. Hasn’t skipped a beat since installation. I cant really think of a better value with a single sided direct force meter. Happy that I was able to buy this.

This review is as much about Power Meter City as it is about the 4iiii PRECISION Power Meter For Shimano 105 5800. I had originally ordered the Velocomp PowerPod Lite. For $179 (after new customer discount) I thought it would be a great way to get into the world of Power Meters. Long story short, I just could not get it calibrated. The Velocomp team was great with Customer Service and really tried to help but it eventually got to the point where I just didn’t trust the data – not a good place to be. I had the unit for about 45 days or so and thought I’d be stuck with it, however, PMC has a 60 day return policy. People, this is unheard of and they really honor it. I sent the Pod back for a full refund and got this beauty instead. More than I originally wanted to spend, but at $369 I can now say it was well worth the money. My wattages look much more ‘normal’ and transmit to my Edge 520 nearly instantaneously. I already feel that it has helped my riding! Also, I have an older 105 groupset (from 2015) and this works just fine. Many thanks to the team at Power Meter City!
