power2max makes two versions of their power meter: the NGeco and the NG. The NGeco is the base version. It is more affordably priced with models starting at $490. It is also one of our best selling power meters. The NG is the upgraded version with models starting at $940. As you can see, this is a big jump in price. However the NG has several premium features built it. Let’s discuss!
To begin, the NG features improved accuracy at +/- 1.0%. This compares to +/- 2.0% for the NGeco. You also get a rechargeable battery with 150 hours of ride time. The NG also comes with additional training metrics such as power balance and pedal smoothness. The NGeco can also display this data, however it requires a paid upgrade whereas it comes built in with the NG. Lastly, the NG comes with a very long 5-year manufacturer warranty compared to a more standard 2 years for the NGeco.
