Advice From Our Staff:
The XCADEY is a great way to add power to SRAM 3-bolt road cranksets. It measures power from both legs, is accurate, lightweight and affordable. In addition, since it bolts on to your existing crankset, there is no need to buy new cranks or change bottom brackets.
Options For This Power Meter
BCD:Â This power meter is available in the following BCDs in order to fit your choice of chainring sizes:
- 110 5-Bolt | 110 4-Bolt
Other Versions to Consider
XCADEY SRAM Road/Gravel 8-Bolt: For riders who are currently using a SRAM 8-bolt crankset, we recommend the XCADEY XPOWER-S GEN2 SRAM 8-Bolt Road/Gravel Power Meter.
Compatibility
Cranksets: The XCADEY SRAM Road Power Meter is compatible with SRAM S-900, Force 1, Force 22, Rival 1, Rival 22 and CX1 cranks with a 3-bolt interface. This power meter does NOT fit Cane Creek eeWing cranks.
Chainrings: This power meter is compatible with 110 BCD 4-bolt and 110 BCD 5-bolt hidden bolts chainrings. For the 5-bolt option, you must use a hidden bolt chainring. With a hidden bolt chainring, the chain catch pin is aligned with a chainring bolt (please see image below). Many chainrings have a moveable catch pin, which allows you to move the catch pin into the correct position. If your current chainring is not compatible, we recommend the Praxis Works Buzz Road Chainrings which has a movable catch pin and is compatible with this power meter.
Please also note that his power meter is not compatible with SRAM Red cranksets as these use a 1-piece drive-side crank arm and spider.
What is BCD?: BCD (bolt circle diameter) is simply the diameter of a circle that passes through the centers of the bolt holes in your chainring. The BCD is usually stamped right on the chainring as either 110 or 130. It is important to know what BCD your crankset is because assuming you want to use your existing chainrings on your new power meter, you need to order the correct BCD.

Needed a crank based power meter for my cross/commuter bike. I still have Sram cranks with the 3 bolt setup, and didn’t want to break the bank with a pedal based system just for a beater more or less. The Xcadey is a solid option and works great. I got it out of the box, charged it, downloaded the app, updated it just to do it, then installed. No issue installing, went nice and smoothly. Did a few easy laps up and down the street, did a few hard jumps, came back and calibrated it, and done deal.
First ride, of course, downpour. Good test though right? No issue, and I rode to work early AM, it sat all day, then rode home, no dry off. All good. Can’t complain, save some money and give the small bands a chance, they appear to be just as good and work perfectly.

Thanks for sharing your experience! Glad to hear the Xcadey power meter performed flawlessly—even through that downpour. It’s great to see solid options that deliver quality without breaking the bank. Enjoy the rides and keep crushing it!
