Stages Shimano GRX RX810 Power Meter
The Stages Shimano GRX RX810 Power Meter brings Stages power to your gravel bike! Compatible with all Shimano GRX cranksets, the Stages power meter is accurate, durable and race ready. The power meter is also extremely lightweight – adding only 15 grams to the weight of the crank arm. All Stages power meters are compatible with both ANT+ and Bluetooth SMART devices, which means you can use your favorite bicycle computer as well as a smartphone or tablet.
The Stages Generation 3 power meter features radio antennas that are 6x more powerful than the previous version. This means better compatibility with both bike computers and watches. The new versions also feature improved accuracy (+/- 1.5%) and have an LED indicator light on the housing for improved ease of use.

Advice From Our Staff:
This is a great way to add power to a Shimano GRX crankset. This Stages power meter is affordable, easy to install and works well. The one consideration is they only measure left leg power compared to some other power meters that measure power from both legs (those versions usually cost more however).

Compatibility
Crankset: The Stages Shimano GRX RX810 Power Meter is compatible with all Shimano GRX cranksets including GRX RX600.
Check Frame Clearance: Crank-arm based power meters like this one attach a sensor on the inside of the left crank arm. On some bikes, there is not enough room between the left crank arm and the chainstay for the sensor to clear the frame. Therefore, you should make sure you have at least 10 mm of clearance between the left crank arm and the chainstay - and that you don't have a bottom bracket mounted rear brake (used on some aero and TT bikes). The important area to measure is right in the middle of the crank arm. Please refer to the image below.
If you find that you have around 7-9 mm of clearance, what many people will do is simply install a 1 or 2 mm bottom bracket spacer (between the left crank arm and the frame), which will give them the clearance they need.

Common Questions and Answers
Question: Is this power meter available in a GRX 600 version?
- No, this power meter only comes in a GRX 810 version. This is because, the backside of the GRX 600 crank arm is not flat, rather it has ridges, and therefore a sensor can’t be attached to it. However, this GRX 810 power meter also fits on Shimano GRX 600 cranksets.
Question: Will the Stages Shimano GRX RX810 Power Meter work on my GRX RX600 crankset?
- Yes, the Stages Shimano GRX RX810 Power Meter is compatible with both the Shimano GRX RX810 and GRX RX600 cranksets, as they both use the exact same interface. Please see our full article for more information: Will the Stages Shimano GRX RX810 Power Meter work on my GRX RX600 crankset?
Question: How do I determine what length my current cranks are so I can make sure I get the same size?
- Your crank arm length should be printed or stamped on the inside of the left crank arm, usually near the pedal end.

Rock solid power meter! Accurate, easy to setup, easy to use, no complaints about the hardware. Only ding I can make is with the software. The Stages iOS app is a little clunky but works. Doesn’t take anything away from the quality of the hardware really. Only concern there would be with the battery cover. Not 100% sure just how well it’ll hold up to bike washes. Guess we’ll see! 😛
