Advice From Our Staff:
This is a great way to add power to a SRAM Rival AXS DUB crankset. The Rival power meter is affordable, easy to install and works well. In addition, it’s the only power meter (aside from power meter pedals) that will fit a Rival AXS DUB crank. It has become one of our best-selling power meters. The one consideration is it only measures left leg power compared to some other power meters that measure power from both legs.
Options For This Power Meter
- Crank arm length: 160 mm | 165 mm | 170 mm | 172.5 mm | 175 mm
- Chainline: Regular | Wide
Compatibility
This power meter is compatible with SRAM Rival AXS DUB cranksets. This power meter will NOT fit the older generation Rival GXP or BB30 cranksets. Please see the image below. If you have a Rival GXP or BB30 crankset, we would suggest this article: What power meter will work with my SRAM Rival BB30 or GXP crankset?
Regular vs. Wide
The Rival DUB crankset comes in both Regular and Wide versions. The Regular version fits most road bikes, whereas the Wide version is meant for bikes with larger tires such as cyclocross and gravel bikes.
Here is a quick way to determine which version you need in most cases:
- SRAM Rival DUB 1X – Wide
- SRAM Rival DUB 2X 43/30 – Wide
- SRAM Rival DUB 2X 46/33 – Regular
- SRAM Rival DUB 2X 48/35 – Regular
IMPORTANT – However, if you want to be 100% sure, you would need to pull the cranks off of your bike and view the writing on the spindle. If you have the Regular version, you will likely see the words “DUB” printed on the spindle. If you have the Wide version, you should see the words “DUB WIDE”.

Just picked up this power meter crank in order to train more effectively with my new cycling program and coach. This was my first time using a power meter but the installation was quite easy and the when I added this unit to my SRAM app, it automatically queued up the firmware update. The only thing I did was run out to Lowe’s to get a new set of AAA lithium batteries, as I’ve read the ones shipped in the box with the crank are usually dead.
The only thing I don’t care for with this power unit is how sensitive it is to your pedal input. I find it very hard to keep a consistent power output when doing intervals on the road. On the trainer it is easier but still just a little too jumpy in the displayed output for my liking. I’m trying different avg. time displays for power(eg. 3 sec and 10 sec.) but I guess it’s not as stable as I expected. For riding on the road, I just use HR now because of the extreme sensitivity of the power meter. Indoors on the trainer, I use this power meter now though. Otherwise I really like the product and with my toying around with different power output time displays and of course my horrible pedaling pressure application and consistency, hopefully I can really begin to appreciate this unit more now.
Power Meter City –
Thanks for sharing your experience, Gregory! Glad to hear the installation was smooth and that you’re integrating the power meter into your training program. Power data can definitely feel a bit jumpy at first, but experimenting with different averaging settings—like 3s or 10s—should help smooth things out. It sounds like you’re on the right track, and we hope you continue to get the most out of your training with it. Let us know if we can help in any way. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with! Ride safe!

Super easy install and very reliable. Got it on my bike with standard tools and abou 15 minutes of work. Since connecting, it has been nothing but consistent. Connect to my bike computer easily and just works!
Power Meter City –
Thank you for your support and for the fantastic review, Marco. We’re delighted to hear it!
Walter (verified owner) –
Installation was smooth and easy but a couple weeks after installation the battery was dead. I assumed it was just a nearly dead battery that shipped with the power meter. I installed a new battery that showed full in the AXS IOS App after installation. I just checked again 2 weeks after installation and the battery is nearly dead again. Clearly this power meter is leaking battery. A fresh battery every 2-3 weeks is not a reasonable model going forward; this power meter is advertised for 400 hours of riding time and I’m nowhere near that at the moment. I’ve contacted Quarq customer support; will update if and when they respond.
Power Meter City –
Hi Walter, we are sorry to hear you are having issues with your power meter. We recommend using a lithium battery as alkaline batteries can be prone to battery drain. We hope that Quarq was able to provide a solution to this!

As far as the power meter, I knew what I was getting with this purchase. The SRAM Rival AXS power meter install went super easy and quick (less than 10 minutes). The price was even with the best prices on the internet, but they had the free shipping, and they are a So. Cal company, so I figured I would use a local business when i can.
Review of Power Meter City: So, I ordered the part in the early afternoon on Tuesday, got a confirmation within minutes. In an hour got a shipping notification. I received a Customer Support Email detailing how to get ahold of the company if I had any issues with install, or general questions at all. It was at my house at noon the next day, on my bike by after work that afternoon. Followed the next with another email, just incase I needed to get ahold of anyone about anything regarding the power meter.
I would have no issue with recommending Power Meter City to anyone looking for a power meter, and if I need another one, I would have no reservations in using them again.

Thank you so much, Danny! It looks like you are enjoying your new SRAM Rival crank arms! We are here if there is anything else we can help you with! Ride safe!
Cor Ruiten (verified owner) –
Super easy to install and an easy way to add a power meter to the bike.
I would have given five stars; however, I only gave four stars because on the first ride the power meter stopped working after riding through a small stream.
I checked the sled and it was properly in place and locked; however, everything started working again after I removed the battery sled, re-inserted it and locked it in place.
The battery sled and the battery were dry, so I am not quite sure why the power meter stopped working when it did.
It has been working like a charm since that one hiccup, but I must admit that the hiccup still bugs me a bit because I do not know what caused it…

Product arrived in new condition as expected. Easy install and zero issues so far. Great first experience with power meter City especially since no one has the 165mm locally

Great product and even better service. Only issue was installation which turned out to be extremely simple. You tube videos targeted other SRAM power meters. I was hesitant to use the torque required to take out the 8 mm hex bolt but once I found a video to demonstrate how to remove the bolt without destroying the bike, installation took five minutes.
Power Meter City –
Awesome! Glad you were able to figure it out! Please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with!
Derek (verified owner) –
Stopped working 15 miles into the first ride. Swapping the battery did nothing and SRAM support is non-existent. Save your money and get a different model.
Power Meter City –
Hi Derek. Thanks for the review. This can usually be fixed pretty easily. Please see our fix here. Let us know if this doesn’t work – we’re here to help!
Paul Lindewall –
I had to look to YouTube for installation instructions, as there are none included. Once installed, mine didn’t work – cadence readings only, no power. Hours of searching for troubleshooting manuals online didn’t help much. I finally just replaced the battery that came with the unit, which was evidently almost dead on arrival. Now it works.
Power Meter City –
Hi Paul. Thanks for the review. Sorry for any issues caused by a low battery. Unfortunately, as with any electronic device, sometimes the included battery is low. There is really no way for us to know when this is the case but I’m glad you got it sorted. We hope you continue to enjoy it and please let us know if you need anything else.
John (verified owner) –
I had reservations about making this purchase, being that it is spindle based and reads only left-side power, but the price was right so I took the leap. Ordering was easy, the power meter arrived in a few days, and the install was super simple. This product fits perfectly within the SRAM Rival system and easily feeds data to my Garmin head unit &/or smartwatch. I’m not sure what knowing the difference between left & right power generation would make, but just getting power info at all has really improved my training.
Power Meter City –
Thank you, John. Good luck with your training and rides. We hope you will enjoy your new SRAM Rival Crank Arm and please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with! Ride safe!

I took a chance and purchased this crank arm sight unseen, it’s Dub SRAM and easy to install myself. I bought a 175 mm for my mtn bike. The spacing worked for my frame , The power meter paired easily with a Karoo hammerhead 2 . The hammerhead sends data to Strava, love it, never an issue , and I have switched the meter between bikes using BB spacers ,
