SRAM Force E1 XG-1270 12-Speed Cassette
The SRAM Force E1 XG-1270 12-Speed Cassette offers smooth and precise shifting across a wide range of terrain thanks to SRAM’s X-Range technology. It is nickel plated for durability and uses 123 stainless steel pins for additional stiffness. In addition, the X-DOME design helps clear debris like mud and dirt from the cassette so you have smooth shifting regardless of the weather.
The Force E1 XG-1270 cassette is available in four sizes, each designed to best suit the terrain you ride the most. The 10-28T offers tighter gaps between gears for flat and fast riding while the 10-36T offers a wide range for tackling hard climbs. This cassette works with XDR freehub bodies, which allows it to have a 10T cog to keep you pedaling on fast descents.

Considerations
Because Force is SRAM’s mid-tier offering, there are options for either lighter or more affordable (but heavier) cassettes. Specifically, SRAM RED cassettes are lighter but more expensive while Rival cassettes are heavier but more affordable.
Advice From Our Staff
The Force E1 XG-1270 cassette is a great option for most riders as it delivers performance at a great price. It is reasonably light, available in a wide range of gear options and looks great on almost every bike.
