ROTOR INpower V3 Road Power Meter
The all-new ROTOR INpower V3 Road Power Meter now features an updated gloss black aluminum finish. As with the previous generation INpower, the INpower V3 gets 300-hours of battery life is accurate to +/- 1.0%. This high level of accuracy is accomplished by using two sets of opposing strain gauges in the axle. The strain gauges can measure power, cadence, torque effectiveness and pedal smoothness. In addition, because all of the electronics are housed inside the waterproof, sealed axle, the power meter is super durable and can withstand the harshest conditions.
In addition, the new ROTOR INpower V3 uses ROTOR’s Direct Mount Chainrings. The Direct Mount rings are machined from a solid block of 7075 aluminum which makes them lighter and stronger than the standard 2x chainring set-up. The power meter has ANT+ and Bluetooth SMART, is powered by a AA battery and is compatible with all bike computers and training apps.

Advice From Our Staff:
The advantages to this power meter are it’s relatively affordable (as far as ROTOR power meters go), the aluminum crank arms are light and stiff, the ROTOR direct mount chainrings further increase stiffness and this power meter makes it easy to run oval rings. The drawback is that it only measures left leg power, whereas most power meter cranksets measure power from both legs.
Options For This Power Meter

Other Versions to Consider
2INpower Version: While the INpower you are viewing on this page measures power from just the left leg, we also have the ROTOR 2INpower DM Road Power Meter. This is a more expensive version however it measures power from both legs.
ROTOR INpower V3 Road Compatibility
Chainrings: The ROTOR INpower V3 Road Power Meter is compatible with ROTOR Direct Mount Chainrings as listed on this page. They are designed to work with 9-, 10-, 11-, 12-, and 13-speed groupsets.
You will see that you have the option of ROTOR Direct Mount (DM) 1-piece rings or ROTOR 110x4 2-piece rings. Most customers opt for the 1-piece rings as they are lighter and stiffer, however the 2-piece rings allow you to more easily change chairing sizes in the future, should that need arise.
Bottom Bracket: This power meter fits 30 MM bottom brackets. If you currently have a 30 MM crankset on your bike, you should be able to re-use your existing bottom bracket. However, if you are chaining spindle sizes, you will need to replace your bottom bracket.

Common Questions and Answers
Question: Can I use the ROTOR INpower with a SRAM AXS groupset?
- Yes, you can absolutely use the ROTOR INpower with a SRAM AXS drivetrain. In order to do so, you would need to purchase the ROTOR 110×4 Aero Chainrings for SRAM AXS. These chainrings are available in round or oval. In addition, you would need the ROTOR 110×4 Spider or the ROTOR 110×4 Aero Spider. The spider is used to connect the chainrings to the power meter.
Question: How do I determine what length my current cranks are so I can make sure I get the same size?
- Your crank arm length should be printed or stamped on the inside of the left crank arm, usually near the pedal end.
