power2max NGeco ROTOR MTB Power Meter

The NGeco is the newest model in the power2max line-up. With features such as dual leg power measurement, ANT+/Bluetooth SMART compatibility and left/right power balance, the power2max NGeco ROTOR MTB Power Meter comes fully-loaded. In addition, the NGeco is accurate to +/- 2.0% in all environmental conditions and is easy to use with features such as auto-zero and accelerometer-based cadence measurement. In fact, there is no other MTB power meter that provides dual-leg power measurement plus these other features at only $590!

Highlights

Dual-Leg Power Measurement

The NGeco power meter measures power at the crank spider. This means it measures both left and right leg power.

Accurate to +/- 2.0%

The power2max is always consistent and accurate, regardless of the environmental conditions.

Long Battery Life

The power meter gets 300-400 hours of run time off of a single CR2450, user-replaceable battery.

Left/Right Power Balance

In addition to measuring both legs, the NGeco can also provide left/right power balance with a system upgrade.

ANT+ & BLE

Featuring both ANT+ and Bluetooth SMART, the power meter can be used with virtually any bike computer or smart phone.

Auto-Zero

With the auto-zero feature, you never have to worry about manually calibrating the unit. Just get on and go!

  • 1X Standard | 104 BCD
  • 1X Boost | 104 BCD
  • 2X Standard | 104/64 BCD

Tip – If you have a 148 mm rear hub, your bike has boost spacing. If you have a 142 mm rear hub, your bike has standard spacing.

Please note: We sell the ROTOR KAPIC Carbon crankset to go along with this power meter if you don’t already have compatible ROTOR cranks.

Upgraded NG Version: While the NGeco you are viewing on this page is our go-to version for most cyclists, please note we also have the upgraded power2max NG ROTOR MTB Power Meter. The NG features slightly better accuracy, a rechargeable battery, a longer warranty and some additional training metrics.

Tools Needed for Installation

You will need the following tools for installation of this product. You can purchase many of these commonly used tools in our store.

  • 10 mm Allen key

Compatibility

Crankset: The power2max NGeco ROTOR MTB Power Meter is compatible with any ROTOR crankset that uses a direct mount splined interface. This includes the ALDHU and VEGAST cranks for road, CX, gravel and track and the KAPIC Carbon, KAPIC and R-Hawk cranks for MTB.

Chainrings: This power meter requires a 104 BCD 4-bolt MTB chainring (which is different then the direct mount chainrings found on many ROTOR MTB cranksets). If you don't already have a 4-bolt chainring, we offer several different MTB chainrings for power2max.

IMPORTANT: The smallest chainring that will fit on a power2max MTB power meter is a 32T round or a 34T oval. The exception to this is the Garbaruk 30T MTB Chainring which is specifically designed to fit a power2max power meter.

If you purchase a new chainring with your power meter, we will bolt it on to your power meter before shipping, which will make installation that much easier when you get it.

*Power Balance Upgrade

The power2max NGeco measures power from both legs right out of the box. However, with power balance, you are able to see how much power each leg is generating individually. If this information is important to you, you can choose to upgrade the power meter at any time. (Please note, you can also purchase the NG version of the power2max which comes with this feature unlocked, along with a rechargeable battery and a longer 5-year warranty.)

You can upgrade your NGeco using the power2max app once you receive the power meter. The cost to upgrade is 50 euros.
