Made from 7075-T6 aluminum, the chainring is lightweight and stiff. Featuring a narrow-wide teeth profile and one of a kind special oval shape, this ring will make you ride faster while also increasing traction. I’ve been using AB oval chainrings sine 2016. Been a mounmtain biker since 1994. Everything you’ve heard or read about curing knee pain, improved cadence/pedaling efficiency, easier climbing, etc…its all true. But what is also most important to me is the longevity of these chainrings. Almost 7 years riding all kinds of terrain including snow and ice. 70 years old and over 43,000 miles pushing ovals and enjoying the benefits of this technology convinced me to upgrade my steed..history repeating itself..hence this review…Happy trails…

I have tried other brand oval chainrings on my bikes, and found the Absolute Black work best for my application. Long rides with the oval chainring ease the soreness in my knees/legs, and I found it easier to manage my cadence on tough climbs.
