While attending Cal State Long Beach Nate was introduced to several track cyclists on the US and Canadian National teams. Having done rehab for his ACL on a bike Nate knew he liked cycling and decided to use these resources to make his way into the sport.

Nate’s first ever time on the velodrome was October 15th, 2010. With the background as a decathlete he treated it like his 11th event and took to it almost overnight. From that point on Nate made a commitment to himself and those who have always supported him that he would be 100% dedicated to making the 2016 Olympic Games as a track cyclist.

Within Nate’s short time as a cyclist he has made his way onto the US National Track Cycling Team, placed 3rd at the Pan-American Championships, and alongside Kevin Mansker and Matt Baronouski holds the American Record in the Team Sprint. The trio of Nate, Kevin, and Matt also won the 2013 National Championships in Team Sprint.

Nate currently lives in Long Beach. Nate is currently an employee of Ero-Sports as a bike fitter for all cycling disciplines.
