This Wolf Tooth Components 1x 104 BCD MTB Chainring is made specifically for Shimano 12-Spd. Hyperglide+ chains. Shimano HG+ chains interact with the chainring much differently than a traditional wide/narrow design. So Wolf Tooth developed this chainring with a completely new tooth profile which provides optimal chain retention and durability when using this new chain technology. This Wolf Tooth chainring maintains the quiet and smooth performance of the HG+ drivetrain along with the chain retention that Wolf Tooth is known for!

Great balance of weight and strength with this one. I purchased it along with a sigeyi AXO meter and the folks at PMC were kind enough to install it on the meter before shipping. I’m running a mixed set up with shimano 12s derailleur / chain and sram crank with no issues.
