The SRAM Apex 12-Speed Bicycle Chain is ready for your Apex crankset! Featuring SRAM’s Flattop technology, this chain is narrower, allowing for a wider gear range. It also results in a quieter drivetrain as well as a stronger, more durable chain. In addition, this Apex chain uses the same construction as the more expensive Rival and Force chains, but with a polished grey finish.

Resizing the chain was straight forward and simple. No fuss, no issues. The oil it comes with for corrosion protection is a huge pain to remove but, fortunately, I have an ultrasonic cleaner which only took extra time instead of more labor. Bought this to pair it with a larger 1x SRAM chainring (replacing a shorter Force chain) and it’s even smoother than before. Maybe I tuned the micro-adjust better this time, maybe not. Either way, I’ll buy this again without question.
