power2max NG ROTOR ALDHU Road Power Meter Crankset
The NG is the premier model in the power2max line-up. With features such as dual leg power measurement, ANT+/Bluetooth SMART compatibility and left/right power balance, the power2max NG ROTOR ALDHU Road Power Meter Crankset comes fully-loaded. In addition, the NG is accurate to +/- 1.0% and is easy to use with features such as auto-zero and accelerometer-based cadence measurement. The power2max NG model also features a rechargeable battery with 150 hours of run time as well as a full 5-year warranty!
NG vs. NGeco
You are viewing the power2max NG. This is power2max’s premium version. It features several upgrades over the NGeco:
- Better accuracy (+/- 1.0% vs. +/- 2.0%)
- Rechargeable battery (vs. coin cell battery)
- Longer 5-year warranty (vs. 2 year warranty)
- Additional training metrics including left/right power balance
Key Product Details
Compatibility:
This power meter fits 24 MM or 30 MM bottom brackets and 110 BCD 5-bolt or 110 BCD 4-bolt chainrings based on the version ordered. See Compatibility tab for more information.
For Shimano Users:
If you currently have a Shimano road crankset on your bike, this power meter is a direct replacement. If you select one of the 24MM ALDHU crank sizes, it will come with the same spindle size as your current Shimano crankset and will fit your bottom bracket without any changes. In addition, if you select the 110 4-Bolt BCD option, you can also use your current Shimano chainrings on it. This makes replacing your Shimano crankset very simple and easy.
Power Measurement:
The power2max power meter measures power at the spider and is therefore able to measure power from both legs. This NG version is also able to measure your left vs. right leg power balance.
Key Features:
Dual-leg power measurement, accurate to +/- 1.0%, 150 hours of battery life, rechargeable battery, left/right power balance, ANT+ and Bluetooth compatibility, auto-zero (automatic calibration), 5-year warranty. See Specs tab for more information.
Advice From Our Staff:
This is one of our favorite road power meters. The NGeco version of this crankset is a best-seller and is a great power meter, but this NG raises the bar even further with improved accuracy, additional training metrics, a longer warranty and more. It’s also more expensive. If it’s within your budget, we highly recommend it.

Other Versions to Consider
NGeco Version: While the NG version you are viewing here features slightly better accuracy, a rechargeable battery, a longer warranty and some additional training metrics, we also sell the more affordable power2max NGeco ROTOR ALDHU Road Power Meter Crankset version.
Carbon NG Version: We also have the power2max NG ROTOR ALDHU Carbon Road Power Meter Crankset which features ROTOR carbon crank arms. This version is more expensive, but it is lighter and stiffer. Please note, the carbon version ONLY comes in a 30 mm spindle size.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
Compatibility
Chainrings: The power fits 110 BCD 5-bolt or 110 BCD 4-bolt chainrings based on the version ordered. In many cases, you can use your existing chainrings assuming they use the same configuration as the power meter you order.
The 110 BCD 4-Bolt version is compatible with all Shimano 4-bolt chainrings, including Shimano 12-speed chainrings.
What is BCD?: BCD (bolt circle diameter) is simply the diameter of a circle that passes through the centers of the bolt holes in your chainring. The BCD is usually stamped right on the chainring as 110. It is important to know what BCD your crankset is because assuming you want to use your existing chainrings on your new power meter, you need to order the correct BCD.
Bottom Bracket: This power meter fits 24 MM or 30 MM bottom brackets, depending on the version ordered. If you are ordering the same size as you currently have on your bike, you should be able to re-use your existing bottom bracket. However, if you are changing spindle sizes, you will need to replace your bottom bracket. Please contact us with questions, we are happy to help.

John Stezelecki (verified owner) –
I’ve owned several PM’s since about 2000, and this one is one of the best. It is simple and accurate. There is little to no broadcast delay, so you see power as you make it. P2M has the most generous warranty in the industry, and the PM is available in many different configurations. As someone stated, the preload pinch bolt is small and easily stripped, so just be careful. It’s been great so far! PMC staff was helpful and attentive…….happy customer!

Great! Thank you John for this amazing review on your new power2max NG ROTOR ALDHU Road Power Meter Crankset! We hope you will continue to enjoy them! Ride safe!
Tyler Coquelin (verified owner) –
been using this unit for about a month now and not only does it look amazing it also works amazing as well. I’ve had a handful of other brands powermeters on my rig and this one is far and away the most reliable and accurate I’ve had to date. I’m not sure when I’ll get a new meter again. Also, love the easy ability to change crank arms if I wanted or needed different lengths for any reason. This unit has it all. If you have any questions about it DM me and I’ll do my best to answer anything you have.

Awesome! Thank you for the follow-up review, Tyler! Looks like you are enjoying them! Good luck on your rides and if there is anything else we can do, please let us know!
Glen (verified owner) –
There are plenty of places to go for reviews about how well these P2M NG and NGeco power meters work so I won’t repeat all that. I’ve had an NGeco for a while now, and that’s part of why I went with this one. They just work, and the Rotor ALDHU cranks are well made, easier to install than just about anything else out right now and available with 24 or 30mm spindles.
Pulled my Shimano crankset and this slid easily into place. There’s a quick youtube video from P2M covering this and showing just how easy it is. Just slightly out of date but nothing significant, the Rotor cranks now say 35nm vice the 40nm in the video. And the preload collar now takes a 2mm vice the 2.5mm used in the video, or vice versa, I’ve already forgotten.
Power Meter City as always provided great customer service through good communication, quick order processing and handling. I’ve done business here before and will continue to do so as power meter are a not insignificant investment and it helps to buy from someone with good service.
