The Garbaruk Shimano Micro Spline 12-Speed MTB Cassette is a lightweight cassette that saves you weight while also providing a large gear range. It offers a 520% range in a 10-52T combination, an option not found on Shimano cassettes. The gear ratios are optimized to be larger at slower speeds and smaller at high speeds. This improves drivetrain efficiency and shifting. The smaller 11 cogs are made from nickel plated steel while the largest 12th cog is made from 7075-T6 aluminum. It is then assembled to be a one-piece cassette, making installation a breeze.

This cassette works with Shimano Micro Spline freehub bodies and Shimano 12-speed derailleurs. While it works with many 12-speed chains, we recommend you use a Shimano 12-speed chain for the best shifting performance.

Pro Tip When Installing Your Garbaruk 12-Speed MTB Cassette

This Garbaruk 12-speed mountain bike cassette has a 52-tooth large cog. This is usually larger than the largest cog on most other mountain bike cassettes, such as Shimano. Therefore, sometimes the rear derailleur cage can come into contact with this large 52-tooth cog as you’re shifting into the cogs right before it. This happens because your rear derailleur is not set up to handle this large 52-tooth cog. However, the fix is very simple. You just need to increase the “B gap” on your rear derailleur by turning the B screw clockwise. This will increase the space between your new Garbaruk 12-Speed MTB Cassette and the derailleur cage, providing the clearance you need to shift safely into the larger cogs.
