Garbaruk 1x 104 BCD MTB Chainring
The Garbaruk 1x 104 BCD MTB Chainring is designed to work with 104 BCD power meters and cranksets. Garbaruk chainrings use taller chainring teeth and a narrow wide tooth profile which reduces chain drop. They also use chamfered edges to allow mud and debris to more easily clear from the chainring. The chainring is compatible with 9-, 10-, 11- and 12-speed drivetrains and weighs only 31 grams (30T).

I have the 104 BCD Sram Power meter for my mtn bike. The 30 tooth Garbaruk was interesting to me because Wolf Tooth does not support the shimano tooth profile.
My setup:
– Sram XX1 Eagle Power Meter 104 BCD
– Shimano HG+ chain for wireless XTR drivetrain
– must have 30 tooth ring as climbs around me are stupid steep
The wolftooth 30 tooth is only avail for SRAM so this looked like a good solution.
I chatted the Power Meter City guys and they promised me this garbaruk 30t 104bcd ring would work with my power meter. I bought it.
Ring showed up and didnt fit on the Sram power meter. There is a battery bump on the power meter that the ring hit and wouldnt sit on the 104 ring holes.
So I got out the dremel and shaved back the inside part of the ring. This had no impact to tooth profile at all. Shaved enough to clear the power meter battery bump and the ring fit nicely. Rode the setup and it worked exactly as expected—but you will need to shave the inner part of the ring if you are running with the sram power meter.
2mm offset can be compensated for with crank spindle or bb spacers. Easy.
While I prefer the profile of wolftooth, this is a good shimano HG+ alternative for the sram power meter if you need a 30tooth ring.

Excellent! Lets me use a 30T chainring on my Stumpjumper and use my power2max ngeco. Despite the 1mm offset, shifting is perfect, not affected at all, and there are no chain retention issues either. Great product. Would definitely buy again as this combo is much cheaper than other brands that require changing entire cranksets.
