All of these road and gravel crank arms use an 8-bolt interface and a carbon fiber layup. The SRAM RED E1 crank arms sit at the top of the line at $440. They are the lightest and stiffest option available. The SRAM Force E1 and Quarq DZero options cover the mid-tier at $180 and $230, respectively. The Quarq DZero maintains a matching style for Quarq power meters, while the SRAM Force E1 offers an improved carbon layup.
In addition, the RED E1 and Force E1 also come in an XPLR version for gravel bikes (previously known as DUB Wide). These XPLR versions have a slightly longer spindle to account for wider bottom brackets on most gravel bikes.

Hi,
I thought I was clear on compatibility between Quarq and SRAM products, but some of the answers here are confusing me; I have a Quarq Dzero Dub power meter with matching crank arms, and I want to mount Force E1 DUB crank arms instead….Those are compatible, right ?
I expect I’ll also be able to mount the Force E1 DUB crank arms onto a SRAM Red D1 power meter ?
Many thanks for those clarifications !
Hi Guillaulme,
The Quarq D Zero Dub uses the 8 bolt mounting pattern so is compatible with all Dub cranksets manufactured after 2019 including AXS E1 cranks and Red D1 cranks.
Thanks,
Hi! I am sorry if this has been asked before, but I just want to make sure. Does the Sram Force E1 Crank Arms works with the Sram RED/Force AXS 107 BCD Power Meter Spider? Thanks!
Hi and thanks for your question,
Yes. As both the Force E1 arms and the 107 AXS spider use the 8 bolt mount, these are compatible.
Thanks,
Hello, sorry if you sort of already answered this (in reverse), but I wanted to ask if you can confirm whether a DZero power meter spider (from a GXP crank) will physically fit onto a DUB E1 Red crank arm using the same 8-bolt interface. I’m not concerned by the +2mm chainline difference as this will go on a 10sp bike, but wanting to confirm physical compatibility if you know. Thanks
Hi and thanks for your question,
Although the same 8 bolt pattern is used, the DZero power meter spider would only be considered compatible with the E1 cranks if the power meter is a DZero Dub. These have been manufactured since 2019 and have a spacing that will only be compatible with 2019 and newer Dub cranks.
Thanks,
Hello I have one bike with DUB Quarq DZero Crank Arms with a Dfour power meter and just got a bIke with DUB Sram Force D1 cranks on it. Would I be able to swap the drive side crank arm’s between these bikes so that whatever one I’m riding has power?
Thanks for your question,
Although these will have the same interface, SRAM deems mixing/matching differing arms incompatible.
Thanks,
Hello
Can I use my old GXP Quarq arms (8 bolt) with a new Quarq D Zero spider ?
(I have the old one now but I do not know how much longer it goes)
So is the actual connection point of the new spider is different ?
Thanks for your question.
With the change to the SRAM Dub standard in 2019 there was a lateral spacing change of 1.5 mm in both the cranks and spiders. The chainline remained the same, but this move made mixing pre-Dub cranks or spiders with current units incompatible even if the same 8 bolt mounting pattern exists.
Thanks,
Are the Red E1 crankarms compatible with the previous generation Red (D2?) power meter spider, if I want to swap out for shorter cranks?
Thanks for your question,
Yes. The Red E1 cranks use the exact same 8 bolt interface as the Red D2 versions.
Thanks,
Hi,
Is the old Quarq Riken R Powermeter compatible withe Red D1 AXS crankarms?
Kind regards
Hi and thanks for the question.
Unfortunately, the Riken is not compatible with AXS crankarms. Two obstacles. Your Riken is likely a 3 bolt crankset interface. Also, with the advent of AXS in 2019, there was a lateral spacing change of 1.5 mm. This makes mixing/matching pre-AXS with AXS incompatible. If going with the Red AXS arms, you will need a Dub power meter spider to match. If your Riken is 110 BCD, The Quarq DZero Dub spider works perfectly!
Thanks,
Hi , thanks for the reply.
The riken r is already with 8 bolt and is the spacing change only relevant for the compatibility with the derailleur or even with the Crankset?
Hi and thanks for the great question.
The Quarq Riken is compatible with the pre-2019 8 bolt cranksets. The spacing change was a lateral one involving the power meter spider and the crankset itself making mixing/matching pre-2019 with Dub incompatible. The chainline was not changed but front derailleur issues and spider/crankset contact may occur if one were to mate incompatible units.
Thanks,
Hi there I want to ask if the quarq dfour dub power meter is compatible with the last generation sram red axs e1 dub crank arms
Hi and thanks for the question.
Yes indeed. The Quarq DFour Dub was initially designed for Shimano 9100 chainrings and will fit all Carbon AXS cranksets including the new Red AXS E1 cranks.
Thanks,
Do you know if the dzero is compatible with the SRAM Rival cranks they used to do an aluminum version of the dzero but that is now discontinued.
Hi and thanks for the question.
Although the Quarq DZero Dub and the aluminum Rival AXS crank share the same 8 bolt mounting pattern, SRAM has designed the DZero power meter spider to be compatible with their AXS Force and Red carbon cranksets only.
Thanks,
Hi – are the Quarq DZero Crank Arms compatible for non-boost DUB mtb applications with a 49mm chain line? Looking at these to replace the XX1 non-boost crank arms that are currently paired with the SRAM XX1 Eagle DUB Power Meter.
Thank you!
-Ted
Hi Ted and thanks for the question.
No. The Quarq DZero crankarms are designed specifically for Road and Gravel applications. You will want to stick to MTB-specific cranks.
Thanks,
