4iiii PRECISION PRO Shimano DURA-ACE 9100 Dual-Sided Crankset
The 4iiii PRECISION PRO Shimano DURA-ACE 9100 Dual-Sided Crankset combines 4iiii’s patent pending 3-D tri-axial strain gauge technology with Shimano’s top-end DURA-ACE 9100 crankset. The 4iiii PRECISION DA 9100 Dual-Sided Power Meter Crankset also features independent left/right power measurement. With a power sensor located on the inside of both crank arms, the power meter can measure the force generated by each leg individually.
In addition to +/- 1.0% accuracy and dual ANT+ and Bluetooth SMART compatibility, the 4iiii PRECISION is extremely lightweight, only adding approximately 40 grams to the Shimano DA 9100 crankset. The 4iiii PRECISION uses a coin cell 2032 battery with a 100-hour battery life.
Key Product Details
Compatibility:
This power meter is compatible with 2×11 road drivetrains and 24 mm Shimano bottom brackets. Most customers that buy it already have a Shimano DA9100 crankset on their bike and therefore, it’s an easy swap. However, it can be used on any road bike as long as its 2×11 with a 24 mm bottom bracket. See Compatibility tab for more information.
Power Measurement:
This 4iiii power meter has a power sensor on both crank arms and measures power from both legs. It is also able to measure your left vs. right leg power.
Key Features:
Dual-leg power measurement, can measure left vs. right leg power, accurate to within +/- 1.0%, lightweight at only 20 grams of added weight, 100 hours of battery life, CR2032 user-replaceable battery, ANT+ and Bluetooth compatible, 3-year warranty. See Specs tab for more information.
Advice From Our Staff:
This is a great option for customers with a Shimano DA9100 drivetrain that want to keep an OEM DA9100 crankset on their bike but add power. We also like that fact that this crankset measures power from both legs and has a 3-year warranty, which is longer than most power meters.
Options For This Power Meter
- Chainrings: 50/34 | 52/36 | 53/39
- Crank arm lengths: 175 mm
Other Versions to Consider
Left Side DA9100: We also sell the 4iiii PRECISION Shimano DURA-ACE 9100 Power Meter which is a left side crank arm only. It is more affordable, however it only measures left leg power.
Compatibility
Bottom Bracket: This power meter is compatible with 2x11 road drivetrains and 24 mm Shimano bottom brackets. Most customers that buy it already have a Shimano DA9100 crankset on their bike and therefore, it's an easy swap. However, it can be used on any road bike as long as its 2x11 with a 24 mm bottom bracket.
Check Frame Clearance: Crank-arm based power meters like this one attach a sensor on the inside of the left crank arm. On some bikes, there is not enough room between the left crank arm and the chainstay for the sensor to clear the frame. Therefore, you should make sure you have at least 10 mm of clearance between the left crank arm and the chainstay - and that you don't have a bottom bracket mounted rear brake (used on some aero and TT bikes). The important area to measure is right in the middle of the crank arm. Please refer to the image below.
If you find that you have around 7-9 mm of clearance, what many people will do is simply install a 1 or 2 mm bottom bracket spacer (between the left crank arm and the frame), which will give them the clearance they need.

Great PM for the money. DC Rainmaker is a great neutral resource when selecting a PM. I also read up on this unit on the Power Meter City site, which was super helpful. If you are worried about clearance, I fit this on an S-Works Tarmac SL6 with plenty of room to spare. From past experience, I’d say this PM should fit on most modern-ish Cannondale and Specialized frames, but do your research!
I used Pioneer and Stages units prior to this PM. Both were older and had issues with data dropping/water ingress. The 4iiii has yet to miss a beat, which is refreshing. I can also say that the battery life on this unit is a bit better compared to my previous units, although they were much older. I will say that the units did not come paired out of the box. I am not sure if this is something you have to configure at home as part of the setup, but I eventually figured it out with the 4iiii app.
I can’t say enough good things about Power Meter City’s service. Insanely fast shipping to the east coast. Their prices were also the lowest of their competitors at the time of this purchase (height of the bike/parts shortage).

I have been using Shimano’s Dura Ace 9100-P Cranks on a few of my Bikes for a little while. Yet, the magnet that attaches to the Frame just bothers. Especially when having to mount it on an S-Works Tarmac SL7 Frame. Not to mention; my QUARQ Powermeters went away from magnets years ago.
So I’d been watching the Shimano Dura Ace 9100 4iiii Cranks on Powermeter City’s eBay account for months.
I’ve been very impressed watching the 4iiii technology and durability get better and better over the years.
So I decided to reach out to Powermeter City directly with some questions.
This would be for the 2022 Specialized S-Works Aethos, which deserves the best.
I believe Specialized had been branding 4iiii Powermeters as their own on the S-Works Tarmac SL7, S-Works Aethos and maybe the S-Works Roubaix.
Now, this seems to be the exact Crank Set I’ve noticed on them.
After submitting my inquiry, I received a very prompt reply from, Fern. He was very respectful, humble and professional in his response.
He was able to confirm that this Crank Set is the quality and caliber component I was looking for to complete this top notch build I was putting together.
So I purchased the Crank Set directly through the Powermeter City website, and it arrived within 3 days.
What a sweet looking Crank Set it is.
I am super stoked with my entire Powermeter City experience. It too, is Top Notch.
Thank you very much.

Brilliant Powermeter, but most importantly awesome service and delivery to Brunei. I was in need of Duraace crank with powermeter but appeared not many were available around the world or couldn’t be delivered to Brunei. I found one with Powermetercity and they delivered absolute master piece ( spotless) from USA to Brunei in under 10 days. Also, the price I couldnt find any other seller who could beat the price PMC offered. Thanks a lot, I have now build my New S-Works Venge 🙂

Easy set up and zeroing. Got Dura-Ace as Ultegra not available, but Wright noticeably less and happy I did. Have Wahoo Kickr and love now having readings on the road.

Loving the power meter! Gives you pretty much all the data any other current PMs in the market. Torque effectiveness, Pedal Smoothness etc.. Best all – no magnets to attach on your bike frame making it very minimalist design.

Hi John. Thanks for the review. We’re glad you like the power meter – 4iiii makes great units. Please let us know if you need anything else!
