The Shimano GRX RD-RX827 12-Speed Di2 Wireless Rear Derailleur brings fully wireless electronic shifting to gravel riding with rugged gravel specific performance. Designed for a 1×12 drivetrain, it works with cassettes up to 10-51T to cover steep climbs, fast flats and rough terrain. Shimano Di2 wireless technology delivers fast precise shifts without external cables and pairs with 12-speed GRX shifters. A removable internal battery sits protected inside the derailleur body and charges easily when needed.

Shimano built the GRX RD-RX827 derailleur to handle impacts using a wide link design, skid plate and solid pulleys. Shimano SHADOW ES stabilizes the chain, reduces noise and limits chain slap on rough surfaces. Automatic Impact Recovery restores derailleur alignment after impacts to keep shifting accurate. Sealed components improve durability in mud, dirt and wet riding conditions.

Shimano’s SHADOW ES
The GRX RD-RX827 derailleur uses the new SHADOW ES, a slimmed down evolution of the Shadow chain retention system. It helps minimize drivetrain noise while improving shift quality on rough terrain.

Automatic Impact Recovery
If a rock strike occurs, the derailleur is designed to move out of the way utilizing bumper-style skid plates. After the strike, a motor unit moves the derailleur back into the gear it was originally in so you can keep riding without pausing.
