ROTOR INpower DM Road Power Meter
As with the previous generation INpower, the ROTOR INpower DM Road Power Meter measures left leg power using two sets of opposing strain gauges in the axle. The strain gauges are able to measure power, cadence, torque effectiveness and pedal smoothness. In addition, because all of the electronics are housed inside the water-proof, sealed axle, the power meter is super durable and can withstand the harshest conditions.
However unlike the previous generation power meter, the new INpower DM uses ROTOR’s Direct Mount Chainrings. The Direct Mount rings are machined from a solid block of 7075 aluminum which makes them lighter and stronger than the standard 2x chainring set-up. The ROTOR INpower DM has ANT+ and Bluetooth SMART, is powered by a AA battery with 300-hour battery life and features +/- 1.0% accuracy.
The ROTOR INpower DM Power Meter is available in the following options:
Crank arm lengths: 165 mm | 170 mm | 172.5 mm | 175 mm
Chainring size: 53/39 | 52/36 | 50/34
Chainring shape: Round | Oval
Tools Needed for Installation
The following tools are typically required for installation of this product. You can purchase many of these commonly used tools in our store.
- 10 mm Allen key
- 8 mm Allen key
- ROTOR DM lockring tool (supplied)
Chainrings: The ROTOR INpower DM is compatible with ROTOR Direct Mount Chainrings as listed on this page. They are designed to work with 9-, 10-, 11-, 12-, and 13-speed groupsets.
You will see that you have the option of ROTOR Direct Mount (DM) 1-piece rings or ROTOR 110x4 2-piece rings. Most customers opt for the 1-piece rings as they are lighter and stiffer, however the 2-piece rings allow you to more easily change chairing sizes in the future, should that need arise.
Bottom Bracket: This power meter fits 30 MM bottom brackets. If you currently have a 30 MM crankset on your bike, you should be able to re-use your existing bottom bracket. However, if you are chaining spindle sizes, you will need to replace your bottom bracket.
