Magene Praxis DOON Carbon Road Power Meter Crankset

The Magene Praxis DOON Carbon Road Power Meter Crankset combines the Magene P505 power meter with Praxis DOON crank arms. The result is an affordable, lightweight road crankset. The P505 power meter features dual leg measurement, +/- 1.0% accuracy and a rechargeable battery with 200 hours of battery life. It is also compatible with a wide variety of chainrings.

Praxis DOON carbon crank arms are named after one of the most famous road climbs in Santa Cruz, California. They are lightweight at only 342 grams (172.5 mm) and use a 30 mm spindle so they easily fit most bike frames. The DOON cranks also have an updated preload collar which ensures reliability and easy adjustment.

Advice From Our Staff:

The Magene Praxis DOON Carbon Road Power Meter Crankset provides riders with a great balance of performance and value. The DOON crank arms are very lightweight and the use of a 30 mm spindle is a welcome addition as it sometimes makes bottom bracket compatibility easier than with the other Praxis cranksets. If you are looking for an affordable, carbon power meter crankset, this is a great option.

Options For This Power Meter

  • Crank arms: 165 mm | 170 mm | 172.5 mm | 175 mm

Professional Assembly (Optional) Magene Build Checklist

We are happy to professionally assemble your power meter crankset if you select this option when ordering. This ensures your crankset is correctly built and saves you time. Professional assembly includes:

  • Mount the power meter to the cranks and tighten to factory specifications
  • Apply multi-purpose bicycle grease where necessary
  • Install chainrings on the power meter (if chainrings are ordered)

Please note – while we tighten everything to factory specs, it is still your responsibility to routinely check your power meter crankset to make sure all bolts and nuts remain securely fastened.

Other Versions to Consider

Magene Praxis Zayante Crankset: We also have the Magene Praxis Zayante Carbon Road Power Meter Crankset. The Zayante crank arms are carbon like the DOON, but just not quite as nice. In addition, the Zayante uses a M30 spindle (tapered 28/30 mm) vs. the DOON on this page which is a straight 30 mm spindle.

Chainrings: The power meter fits 110 BCD 5-bolt and 110 BCD 4-bolt chainrings. In many cases, you can use your existing chainrings assuming they use the same configuration as the power meter you order.

Bottom Bracket: This power meter crankset fits 30 mm bottom brackets. If you currently have a crankset that uses a 30 mm spindle, you should be able to re-use your existing bottom bracket. However, if you are changing spindle sizes, you will need to replace your bottom bracket.
